The Big Picture.
Welcome to the gallery. You might find some pieces are energizing, and others soothing, but I hope you’ll find they’re all rewarding to look at. After all, their only job in life is to make you happier for having seen them. I could wax lyrical about the intellectual rigour involved in each piece, but, in the final analysis, a painting doesn’t come with an instruction manual. It just comes with paint, to which you, the viewer, will have an emotional response of ‘thumbs up’ or a ‘thumbs down’. So I use the same criterion to vet what appears here; quite simply, would I want to come home to it hanging on my wall every day? If not, then it’s out. This space is reserved for gorgeousness. Anyway, enough words. Time to let the paintings speak for themselves.
